Senior Web Developer

Marketing Edge Group (MEG) is seeking an accomplished web developer with multiple talents/skills for a full time position in North Brunswick, NJ with great potential for growth. The following description details our company, the job role and mandatory skills needed to be considered for this position.

Applicant should be able to work independently and in a team environment, deliver state-of-the-art application design, development and support. The ideal candidate will also be eager to learn new technologies and actively keep themselves abreast of emerging business system design and development techniques.

The position entails the following:

  • Work in diverse areas such as interactive web design and development, database architecture, user applications, etc.
  • Develop and implement solutions for business problems.
  • Perform necessary investigation, analysis, and evaluation to determine project feasibility.
  • Develop programming specifications and data design.
  • Follow development standards when coding and maintaining applications, components, and common services - including the use of standard languages and tools.
  • Define, build and execute rigorous and thorough testing plans.
  • Participate in architecture and design reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring cross-browser optimization.
  • Ensuring responsiveness of applications.
  • Working alongside graphic designers for web design features.
  • Seeing through a project from conception to finished product.
  • Designing and developing APIs.
  • Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.

Experience/Skills Required:

  • Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS, React, and Amber.
  • Proficiency with server-side languages such as PHP, NodeJS.
  • Experience with ColdFusion is required
  • Proficiency with SOAP / Restful APIs
  • Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL, and MongoDB.

Additional Skills:

  • Familiarity with HTML5 Display Banners
  • Familiarity with Progressive Web Apps

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent work experience

Account Manager

Along with enterprise software development and strategy, we create social, traditional, and digital content that generates leads and elevates online visibility.

We are seeking a full-time Account Executive with at least 5+ years of experience to work on-site in our North Brunswick, NJ office or remotely in the US. As an account manager at MEG, you will work on various interesting projects for one of our healthcare clients. Projects include digital and traditional marketing communications that require strict attention to details, careful adherence to brand standards, and a resilient commitment to deliver exceptional account service to our clients.

You should have a good understanding of print and digital production, be able to juggle multiple projects, and be willing to read the fine print. Experience with pharma or medical device clients is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with creative and programming teams to deliver jobs on time and on budget
  • Manage projects from inception to completion either independently or as part of a larger team
  • Ability to work with clients daily, conduct research, prepare estimates, develop timelines, and create strategy documents/presentations
  • Ensure complete accuracy of all project deliverables

Required skills

  • 5+ years of agency experience
  • A strong understanding of print and digital work (web site and interface design)
  • High attention to detail
  • A high level of proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Able to communicate with a dispersed workforce
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Able to handle multiple projects in an organized, timely manner
